Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents had her in the Philippines on the 9th of February, 1997. Her grandmother was a resident of among the Manila slums until she reached the age of three. Her adoptive father is white American with military experience and her mother who adopted her is Filipino. She claims that she and the brother were neglected by the adoptive parents since her childhood until she joined the army. In order to move to Texas after she reached 13, her family spent some time in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. The physical violence subsided, but she was still battling her father's psychological abuse in her home. Poarch became a part of in the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch launched her TikTok account around April of 2020 quickly gaining fame with more than 40 million fans in just eight months. Her biggest success was the music video she created for Millie B's hit track Soph Aspin Send. An edited clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the song and leaping in time to it was an extremely viral video which became TikTok's top-rated video. Poarch launched her YouTube as well as Twitter accounts in the months after signing up to TikTok to benefit from the growing popularity. The adulation of Poarch's growing fame reached its peak during the month of December. It was reported that she drew the attention of two large professional Esports organizations. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in having her hired as a creator of content under the respective brand names.
